South Korea has opened 11 trail courses along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), called 'The Peace Trail,' spanning 524 kilometers from Ganghwa County to Goseong County. The Inje segment features unique historical sites such as the Pis Village, which was part of North Korea before the Korean War. The route allows visitors to view stunning mountainous landscapes and historical landmarks like the 1052 Hill, a notable military site during the Korean War. Each tour is guided by local residents, providing historical insights and personal stories about the area. The experience includes a small hike to the Eulji Triangle and a spectacular view of North Korea's Mount Kumgang. Additionally, visitors can explore the adjacent cycling trails and cultural education centers dedicated to promoting peace and the DMZ's ecological environment.
