The Daegu Kansong Art Museum's exhibition ‘Hwajo migam’ (meaning 'Taste of Flowers and Birds') explores the inner world of Joseon Dynasty masters through their paintings of birds and flowers. Notable works include two contrasting paintings of herons by renowned artist Kim Hong-do, showing his creative expression in both his middle and old age. The exhibition also features humorous and delicate paintings by artists such as Jeong Seon, including ‘Chuil Hanmyo’ which depicts a cat observing a grasshopper. This exhibit showcases a collection of the finest flower and bird paintings from the 16th to 19th century Korea.
