Kyochon Chicken, a major fried chicken franchise in Korea, will soon only be available on Baemin, a top food delivery service, rather than on other popular platforms like Coupang Eats and Yogiyo. This is due to a new agreement between Kyochon and Baemin that includes reduced commission fees for franchise owners. The move marks the first time a major franchise in Korea has chosen to limit its presence to a single delivery platform to receive exclusive benefits. This could intensify the competition among delivery apps to secure similar deals with large franchises.
