Violinist Kim Bomsori's advancement over her mentor

Violinist Kim Bomsori has released an album featuring Bruch and Korngold's Violin Concertos. She recorded it with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, as did her mentor, Kim Young-wook, 53 years ago for the same label, Deutsche Grammophon. Kim highlighted the advancement of spatial audio technology, now available, which makes listeners feel surrounded by sound, a feature missing during her mentor’s time. Kim Bomsori, who learned under Kim Young-wook at Seoul National University, chose to collaborate with Bamberg Symphony over other offers, holding on to her deep admiration for the orchestra's unique sound forged from Czech and German traditions.
