Everland, a popular theme park in South Korea, will become the first domestic theme park to reduce the use of disposable cups by introducing reusable cups for take-out beverages starting from November 25th. This initiative is part of a voluntary agreement with the Ministry of Environment and Yongin City to decrease disposable cup usage. Customers can receive reusable cups with their drink purchases and return them at designated return points across 60 locations within the park, including food and beverage shops and attractions. The change will be expanded to Caribbean Bay (a water park in Everland) from December 1st. Efforts to promote reusable cup usage will also be made through Everland's website, social media, large screens, and in-store displays. An Everland spokesperson stated the initiative aims to reduce waste and increase environmental awareness through resource recycling.
