Flautist Yubin Son to Perform on Korean Stage with the New York Philharmonic After 11 Years

Yubin Son, the first Korean flautist to be a full member of the renowned New York Philharmonic Orchestra, will be performing in Korea for the second time with the orchestra this October. Yubin Son first debuted with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at age 11 and joined the New York Philharmonic's prestigious wind section 14 years ago, where positions are rarely available. Son expressed the pride and emotion tied to performing in Korea as a seasoned member. The New York Philharmonic, led by Finnish conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen and featuring pianist Krystian Zimerman, will perform at the Arts Center Incheon and Seoul Arts Center. The orchestra, excited for the Korean shows, is planning to explore local culinary favorites during their visit.
