The Daegu Art Association is hosting a solo exhibition for artist Anjunghee at their members-only CL Gallery in Suseong-gu, Daegu, from June 21 to July 4. Anjunghee, who graduated from the Department of Oriental Painting at Keimyung University, is known for using diverse materials such as soil pigment and coffee powder on traditional Korean paper (hanji) to expand the boundaries of expression. Known for portraying images and space using knives instead of brushes, Anjunghee's work reflects a unique texture reminiscent of woodblock prints. Her artworks capture the changing colors of nature across seasons, echoing the elements of East Asian landscape painting. The exhibition features about 20 pieces, including her series 'Looking.' Her approach to art as a form of emotional expression and healing is evident. Daegu Art Association inaugurated the CL Gallery in May and plans bi-monthly exhibitions after July, open to members post-application and review.
