Traditional Korean Performances Showcase in Seoul: Jaedam Sori, Pansori, and Sijo

Seoul City announced a series of traditional Korean performances from June 24-29 at the Seoul Donhwamun Traditional Theater. The event features 'Jaedam Sori', a humorous storytelling performance on June 24, followed by 'Pansori Sugungga' by Jeong Eui-jin, a 100-year-old pansori (Korean musical storytelling) family heir, on June 25. On June 27, Lee Ok-cheon presents 'Pansori Heungboga', known for its masculine style. On June 29, Byeon Jin-sim will perform 'Sijo', a form of traditional Korean poetry, accompanied by traditional instruments like the geomungo and gayageum. Additionally, on June 28, a special joint performance featuring multiple traditional Korean arts will be held. Except for the master recital on June 28, all performances are free with prior registration required.
