Mun Gong-Yeol, a renowned calligraphy artist and professor at Renmin University in China, is holding a solo exhibition in Seoul. Integrating Korean calligraphy with Chinese calligraphy techniques, his 34 artworks are displayed under the theme 'Gubangshim,' which means 'seeking lost hearts' in the context of rediscovering one's original mind through self-cultivation, a concept from Mencius. This exhibition reflects on reconnecting with community spirit amidst societal turmoil. The exhibition is at Gangho Gallery in Jongno until December 2nd. Mun started learning calligraphy at five, studied extensively in China, and became the first Korean calligrapher to teach at a Chinese university in 2004.
