Exhibition Commemorating War Correspondent Jack James

An exhibition in the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History showcases items belonging to Jack James, an American war correspondent who first reported the outbreak of the Korean War (6·25). The exhibition highlights 25 of his belongings, including a journal he kept during the war, a compass, and his passport with a Korean entry visa. Organized to commemorate his work, the exhibition, open until July 20, features his award medals and photographs, including one where he plays harmonica with the South Korean Navy. These items were recently donated by his son via a cultural foundation in the US.
