Walking Festival in Gangneung Captivates Taiwan and Japan

The 2025 Global Gangneung Trail Festa took place in Gangneung, South Korea, from October 13 to 16. This international walking festival, hosted by Gangneung City and supported by the Korea Tourism Organization, included about 1,200 participants and featured trail organizations from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Gangneung is renowned as a 'walking paradise' due to its scenic trails, including the Gangneung Bau-gil, which stretches 240km across 17 courses. The festival featured parts of the Bau-gil and the Haeparang Trail, connecting participants with local attractions such as Gyeongpo Beach, coffee areas, and traditional markets.
