Famed British sculptor Antony Gormley opened a permanent exhibition space called 'Ground' at the Museum SAN in Wonju, Korea. Designed in collaboration with Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the space features Gormley's sculptures inspired by the Roman Pantheon and Kyoto's Ryoanji rock garden, using rusted iron to symbolize human mortality and connection to earth. The exhibit invites visitors to reflect on the finite nature of existence within a serene and immersive setting. The opening also includes Gormley's solo exhibition 'Drawing on Space,' which explores the interaction between body, space, and light and includes works previously part of a BTS-associated art project in New York.
