Korea's First Long-Distance Forest Trail: Yeongju Section Completion

South Korea has unveiled a newly completed section of its first long-distance forest trail, the East-West Trail, in Yeongju. Spanning a total of 849 km from Taean in South Chungcheong Province to Uljin in North Gyeongsang Province, the trail is set to fully open by 2026. The Yeongju section, completed with a budget of 438 million KRW, offers a back-packing shelter and opportunities to experience local nature and culture. The trail integration aims to promote regional tourism and involves a collaborative effort from 21 different administrative regions.
