Jeju Cultural Foundation has announced a community art project, 'Union of Hands', aiming to counteract social isolation through art. This participatory art project is designed to foster communication among local residents and reestablish connections with isolated neighbors. Running from November 21 to 29, the project invites participants to create baby blankets through sewing and leave messages on the wall of solidarity. These blankets will be donated to support facilities for single mothers, demonstrating the community's outreach. Interested individuals can sign up through the foundation's website or social media, and onsite participation is also available. The project aims to promote emotional healing and community revival, positioning the art space as a socially responsible cultural platform. According to surveys, a significant number of households and young people in Jeju are socially isolated, highlighting the need for such initiatives.
