The Chungmu National Theater, originally opened in 1995 as Jeongdong Theater in Seoul, celebrated its 30th anniversary on June 17th. Over the years, the theater has hosted approximately 15,000 performances, attracting 2.3 million visitors until 2024. Recently, it has strengthened its identity as a public theater and was renamed in 2021. The theater continues to spotlight traditional and contemporary Korean performing arts, including its latest productions like 'Gwangdae' and 'Dancheong'. Its representative highlighted the theater’s commitment to evolving while staying true to its roots in Korean modern culture.
