The house of the late Kim Tschang-Yeul, a renowned South Korean artist known for his water drop paintings, will be transformed into a public cultural facility. Located in the Pyeongchang-dong area of Seoul, the house served as both a home and an atelier for Kim for over 30 years until his passing in 2021. The project, in collaboration with Kim's son, aims to maintain the original setting with a unique underground workspace that allows indirect light through a circular roof feature. The facility is scheduled to open in early next year and will display Kim's original canvases, paints, brushes, and books as they were during his lifetime.
