Okcheon County Achieves 1 Million Tourist Landmark, Named 'Regional Tourism Growth Municipality'

Okcheon County in South Korea has been recognized by the Korea Tourism Organization as one of the country's 'Regional Tourism Growth Municipalities'. As the only selection from its province, Okcheon participated in the 'Smart Consulting Project with Big Data', which analyzed tourist demand using big data. With attractions like the Jeong Ji-yong Literature Museum and traditional cultural experience centers, Okcheon attracted 1 million tourists last year. Efforts include enhancing tourism guides and promoting information via SNS channels. These initiatives led to increased tourist spending by 24.1%.
