Yangju City Resumes Sister City Exchange with Fujieda City

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, has resumed its exchange program with its sister city, Fujieda City in Japan. A delegation from Fujieda, including Vice Mayor Ohata Naomi, visited Yangju for three days to mark the resumption of in-person exchanges after the pause due to COVID-19. During the visit, both cities discussed expanding exchanges in cultural, youth, and festival areas, agreeing on the necessity of a cooperative framework. The visit also included attendance at the 8th Royal Court Festival at Heungnam Temple Site, emphasizing cultural exchanges. Yangju plans to strengthen its partnership with Fujieda through regular exchanges and joint events.
