The Tongyeong International Music Foundation has announced that applications are open for the 2025 Yoon Yi Sang International Music Competition in the cello category. The competition is open to anyone worldwide born between November 1, 1995, and October 31, 2010, with applications due by July 31. The competition includes international flights and accommodations for participants. The finalists will have the opportunity to perform with the Tongyeong Festival Orchestra. The competition, honoring renowned composer Yoon Yi Sang, alternates yearly in three categories: cello, piano, and violin. It became a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions in 2006, cementing its status as a leading competition in Asia.
