**A New Nature Recreation Forest in Gwanaksan by 2027**
Gwanak District in Seoul is beginning the construction of a nature recreation forest on Gwanaksan Mountain. The site spans over 216,333 square meters in the Sillim-dong area and will cost 14.1 billion won. The project includes Forest Houses (lodges) with 27 rooms, a forest cafe, a welcome garden, forest experience facilities, and a visitor center. The aim is to integrate current programs like forest bathing (shinrin-yoku), forest meditation, and hiking with the new facilities. The forest is scheduled to open in 2027.
