An art exhibition titled 'Sahsim Jesim - Each Other's Shadow' is being held in Chuncheon until the 18th, featuring works by Korean artist Hwang Hyocang and his students. The showcase, organized by the Chuncheon branch of the Korean Association of Fine Artists, explores the shared philosophies and contemporary sensibilities of Korean Minjung art (a people's art movement in Korea). Hwang, known for his contribution to Minjung art, and his students present works that convey individual and collective narratives. Noteworthy pieces include Ingi Lee's 'Ochetuji' that reinterprets the traditional Eastern practice of full-body prostration (a form of deep respect), and various works that connect with themes of daily life, memory, respect, and nature. This exhibition reflects the artistic dialogue between master and disciples, highlighting their unique yet interconnected journeys.
