Chef Edward Lee, an ambassador for Seoul and renowned for his Korean fine dining restaurant SHIA in Washington D.C., introduced a new dessert named 'Hanip'. The dessert utilizes the 'Seoul My Soul Lacquer Box', a traditional craft piece highlighting Seoul's iconic landmarks. Hanip consists of roasted pine nut pie and doenjang caramel injeolmi (a Korean rice cake). Inspired by a luncheon where food was served in a lacquer box, Lee proposed serving desserts in these unique boxes at his restaurant. The lacquer box will be available at select Seoul shops from July 1st.
