Surge in Tourists as Weather Improves in Gangwon Province

On May 14th, over 10,000 tourists visited Odaesan National Park in Gangwon Province as warm early summer weather followed morning rain. Other popular mountains like Chiaksan National Park saw approximately 4,000 tourists. Cable car attractions in Gangwon also experienced an influx, with around 6,291 visiting Wonju's Ganhyeon tourist site and 739 using the Garirwangsan cable car in Jeongseon. This increased tourism is attributed to families and group travelers taking outings as summer approaches.
