Chinese tourists are increasingly visiting South Korea as its political instability issues, including a brief martial law and the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, have subsided, reports the South China Morning Post (SCMP). Travel marketing firm China Trading Desk noted a 24% rise in Korean travel bookings from China in April to June compared to the previous December to February. The earlier decline in travel during the Lunar New Year period is attributed to political unrest. Now, tourism is recovering as China perceives South Korea as politically stable and safe for travel.
