Chun-Hyu Park, the first Korean to win a Tony Award, spent half of his life in Seoul and the other half in New York City. His musical, 'Possibly Happy Ending', which succeeded in winning six Tony Awards, bridges Korean and American cultures, aiming to evoke empathy from both audiences. The musical, written with composer Will Aronson, originated in 2015 with the ambition of presenting a unique world and characters. Park plans to bring more of his works, such as 'Il Tenore' and 'Ghost Bakery', to American audiences and also aims to direct a film featuring a Korean couple's story set in New York.
