Peace Train Festival Celebrates Peace Through Music

The DMZ Peace Train Festival takes place from October 13-15 at Goseokjeong, Cheorwon, a historic city in Korea. Featuring 32 acts, including Love and Peace, and Japanese Breakfast led by Michelle Zauner, the festival promotes peace through music. Special stages are set in historical sites like the Cheorwon Jeil Church ruins, reflecting on the Korean War's scars, with performances by musicians such as Min Chaeyoung and saxophonist Kim Oki.
Additional activities include an ecological tour in collaboration with Seoul Community Radio, and DJ stages. Unique historical sites, like the former Labor Party building and Woljeong station, serve as festival venues, enhancing its identity. Prior to the main event, 'Peace Train Friday Allstars' offers a free show with groups like Idiotape and Cadého.
The festival highlights Korean psychedelic and funk music, featuring renowned acts like GUNAM and Yeo Riding Stella, and Love and Peace, enhancing its cultural significance.
