On November 11th, global cosmetics ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) Cosmax announced a partnership with the Gyeonggi-do Social Economy Center to tackle social and environmental issues. The agreement aims to support the growth of social economic organizations and collaborate on solving various social problems in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. In particular, Cosmax plans to develop packaging that increases accessibility for visually impaired individuals, by using tactile patterns and QR codes. This initiative will help improve accessibility to cosmetic product information, ensuring both usability and safety. Cosmax is also working on eco-friendly packaging with Selfiecos Lab, using cellulose derived from natural by-products to reduce plastic use. The collaboration strives to embody diversity and inclusivity in the beauty industry, ensuring that everyone regardless of gender, age, or disability can conveniently use cosmetic products.
