Finding Missing Dementia Patient with 'Smart Tag'

An elderly man in his 80s, who went missing on Mt. Chorerae near Daegu, South Korea, was quickly located within two hours thanks to a location tracking device known as the 'Smart Tag'. The Daegu Eastern Police Department found the man in the forest area of the mountain, after his family reported his disappearance due to his dementia. The Smart Tag, a small and portable device, allowed the authorities to track his movements by connecting it to a mobile app. This technology made it possible to view the man’s last known movements via nearby security cameras, leading to his safe recovery.
