Actress Lee Ju-sil from 'Squid Game 2' Passes Away Due to Stomach Cancer

Lee Ju-sil, known for her role as mother of Detective Hwang Jun-ho in the Netflix series 'Squid Game 2', passed away at the age of 81. She had been battling stomach cancer for three months. Renowned for her work in theater, Lee debuted in 1965 and became a leading figure in Korean theater during the 1970s and 80s. Despite a serious breast cancer diagnosis in 1993, she recovered and continued acting in various dramas and films. Her last role was in 'Squid Game 2'. A memorial is set up at Sinchon Severance Hospital in Seoul.
