The outdoor brand Eider has successfully completed the first iteration of its unique 'Peak Hike' trekking program in Jeju, South Korea. This eco-friendly program incorporates nature conservation activities and emphasizes the importance of sound as part of the experience. Participants engaged in plogging (trash collecting while jogging) along UNESCO geopark beaches and sound trekking, which involved listening to the natural sounds around them with headsets. The event attracted over 1,200 applicants, with 45 participants ultimately selected. Eider provided eco-friendly merchandise like biodegradable T-shirts and plogging bags to promote continued environmental awareness. The program also included education about ocean waste and sustainable resource circulation. Experts from marine conservation organizations and sound preservation groups participated, enhancing the program's educational value. Eider plans to expand 'Peak Hike' to other regions in the future.
