Artist Ryu Jae-chun (54) is holding a solo exhibition titled 'Korean Moon' at GALLERY DOLL in Samcheong-ro, Seoul from June 6 to 29. Ryu, known for his ink drawings of the moon, explores metaphors that bridge traditional and modern elements in his art. In the exhibit, he presents the 'Pink Rocky Flower' series, 'Moon and Wave' series, and other works that depict the moon in various colors and forms beyond the typical circular shape. Ryu explains that his work started from a vision in a dream and evolved to express elements like wave sounds and forest energy. With his art, he expands the possibilities of Korean painting, gaining recognition through media art projects. Ryu holds a master's degree from Sungkyunkwan University and a doctorate from Dongguk University.
