Lee Geun-sam, known as 'Korea's Bernard Shaw,' played a pivotal role in the establishment of Mary Hall, a theater at Sogang University, despite the absence of any drama-related department. In the late 1960s, he negotiated with Sogang University for the construction of a theater and succeeded, facilitating the emergence of numerous theater professionals. This June and July, a series of plays will celebrate his works, featuring prominent productions like 'Yusilmul' (Lost Property) and 'Wongoji' (Manuscript Paper), which offer satirical commentary on societal issues.
