"Yaho Yaho Echoing Dance" for Neurodiverse Children

The Korea Disabilities Arts and Culture Center is presenting a participatory dance performance titled "Yaho Yaho Echoing Dance" from the 27th to the 29th at Modu Arts Theater in Seoul, designed for neurodiverse children and their families. Neurodiversity encompasses conditions such as autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays, shifting the perspective from brain disorders to individual differences and diversity. This trial performance aims to engage neurodiverse children through non-verbal communication elements like body movements, sounds, and images, fostering emotional expression and connection. "Yaho Yaho Echoing Dance" aims to develop a repertoire for neurodiverse audiences, with the main performance scheduled for September. Admission is free and intended for neurodiverse children aged 8 to 11 and their siblings. This initiative seeks to enhance accessibility in culture and arts by embracing diversity of cognitive features.
