The first Ilsan Yeolmu (young radish) Food Festival will be hosted by the city of Goyang in the Ilsan-dong district at Ansan Park on the 14th from 10 AM to 6 PM. Celebrating the fresh summer taste of yeolmu, the festival will showcase various dishes and activities. Highlights include free tastings of yeolmu noodles and kimchi making workshops. A famous YouTuber from Goyang will broadcast live from the event. Performances such as choir acts, invited singers, and dance teams are scheduled to boost the festive atmosphere. Unique food dishes featuring yeolmu will be available at nearby restaurants. Ilsan yeolmu, registered as a regional specialty, has been cultivated since the 1960s using mineral-rich groundwater.
