Hyung-seok Oh, a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, has been honored with South Korea's Scientist of the Month award for June. His work focuses on converting CO2 into valuable compounds like aviation fuel and plastic materials, contributing to carbon-neutral and circular economies. This innovative electrochemical technology utilizes renewable energy sources to transform CO2 efficiently, aiding in greenhouse gas reduction. The technology has been transferred to LG Chem for industrial application.
