Korean artist Kim Un-seong, known for his 'Statue of Peace,' opened his first exhibition 'Between Walls' in his hometown Chuncheon. This exhibition at Gallery Neurin Sigan is part of a series highlighting Kim’s work, transforming historical trauma and social pain into art. The theme of 'Seeds and Hope' reflects the revival of life amidst oppression. His 'Seed' series, inspired by a visit to Hwaseong Maehyang-ri, depicts new life emerging from destruction. Kim connects these themes to societal suffering and recovery, drawing on personal experiences during South Korea's democratization. The exhibition runs until November 15, with an artist talk on November 7.
