The Korean National Opera is set to premiere 'Love for Three Oranges,' directed by Swiss-born Lorenzo Fioroni, at the Seoul Arts Center from June 26-29. The opera, originally composed by Sergei Prokofiev, combines fantasy with satire and humor, promising an enchanting experience for audiences. Inspired by Puccini's play, the story follows a prince cursed to fall in love with three oranges, encountering princesses inside them during his journey. The production uniquely features imagery of Korean nightscapes, blending whimsical and technical aspects on stage. German conductor Felix Krieger will lead the performances, lauding the efficiency of Korean productions. Tenors Kim Young-woo and Shin Hyun-shik will star as the prince.
