Shinan County's Jeungdo Island in South Korea will host the '15th Island Bendaengi Festival' from June 7 to 8. Bendaengi fish, especially popular in June, is known for its rich fat and tender meat, ideal for various dishes like sashimi, mix, and grill. The festival includes Bendaengi bibimbap making and tasting events, as well as performances. Visitors can enjoy activities such as crab fishing, canoeing, and paddle boating. Jeungdo Island, recognized for its slow city certification in Asia (2007), is a pristine eco-tourism destination featuring Korea’s first tidal flat park, UNESCO biosphere reserve, and Ramsar wetland site.
