Goseong County in Gangwon Province, Korea, will host the 5th Jodo Octopus Festival from August 7 to 8 at Daejinhang. This festival returns after a six-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, offering a range of food-related events and programs. Local fisheries groups will present fresh-caught octopus and seafood at food booths. Visitors can enjoy activities like octopus printmaking, an octopus auction run, and an octopus quiz battle. Additionally, shopping offers with local currency refunds are available. The festival includes a tour to the privately restricted northernmost Jodo Fishery Area, famous for its high-quality seafood due to clean waters and rocky terrain.
