American contemporary artist Katherine Bernhardt, renowned as the 'Pink Panther painter', is having her first large-scale retrospective exhibition in Korea at the Hangaram Art Museum in Seoul Arts Center. The exhibition titled 'Katherine Bernhardt: Some of All My Work', starting June 6, is organized as the world's largest show of her work, featuring over 140 paintings and sculptures that encapsulate her 25-year artistic journey. Bernhardt is known for reinterpreting elements from pop culture such as Pink Panther, E.T., Pikachu, Simpsons, Doritos, and Nike using intuitive brushwork and vibrant colors. Her work explores the intersection of pop culture icons with painterly freedom, offering new possibilities in contemporary painting. The exhibition runs until September 1.
