Celebrating K-Ballet Legends at the 15th Korea Ballet Festival

The 15th Korea Ballet Festival featured a special performance to honor legendary figures of ballet, including Yuri Grigorovich, a Russian 20th-century ballet master, and Moon Beom-nam, a renowned Korean choreographer. The event showcased notable performances such as "Raymonda" and "Prince Hodong" by leading dancers Kim Ji-young and Lee Jae-woo, among others. The festival highlighted the contributions of Tae-ji Choi and Hoon-suk Moon in bringing international ballet heritage, like that of Bolshoi Ballet, to Korea. Moon Hyun-suk, director of Universal Ballet, shared stories about her journey and the impact of her works like "Shimcheong," which received international acclaim. The festival will continue with performances including "Coppelia" and "Ballet Chunhyang."
