BuddyLabs, a pet healthcare startup, has launched a new health check-up platform called 'BuddyDoc' for dog and cat owners in Korea. As pet owners increasingly show interest in health check-ups for their animals but often find it difficult to know which tests to choose, BuddyDoc aims to facilitate this by recommending personalized examination items based on the pet's age, breed, and current symptoms. The BuddyDoc app also allows users to compare check-up programs from local animal hospitals and make appointments easily. Currently available in over 50 animal hospitals in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas, the service will eventually expand nationwide. The platform also generates detailed reports of examination results, which include explanations understandable to owners unfamiliar with veterinary terms. Additionally, BuddyDoc provides a 'report automatic generation program' to streamline report creation for veterinarians, saving time and improving user satisfaction in care services. BuddyLabs plans to introduce AI-driven health management features and insurance-related services in the future for comprehensive pet healthcare solutions.
