Sae-bom Lee, an 18-year-old cellist, has won the strings category at the Washington International Competition held in Washington D.C., USA. Known for her remarkable ability to perform her preferred music style on stage, Lee received a $10,000 prize. She debuted in 2020 and is currently a student at Korea National University of Arts. The competition, started in 1948, supports young classical musicians and rotates annually between voice, piano, and strings, with composition added in 1976.
