Jeong Soo-young, a Korean artist known for her introverted nature and realistic portrayal of everyday spaces, is showcasing her solo exhibition at Hakgojae Gallery (a contemporary art gallery in Seoul) until June 28. Her new 'Pantry' series along with 30 paintings are on display, with works that creatively depict the indirect exposure of personal spaces and inner solitude. Through her piece 'Not for posting,' Jeong explores the idea of wanting to connect with others while maintaining personal space, expressed through a self-portrait in a bath. The exhibition invites viewers to explore their personal memories and experiences as they interact with the metaphorical imagery of her art, encouraging a deeper reflection on human nature and societal interactions.
