Zespri, a kiwi brand from New Zealand, unveiled a study conducted with the Korean Nutrition Society indicating that 70% of Koreans fall short in daily recommended intake of essential vitamins like Vitamin C and E due to overconsumption of processed foods leading to 'hidden hunger'. A campaign promoting 'dense foods' such as kiwis, which have high nutritional density, is in place to improve this deficiency. The study suggests that incorporating a single kiwi can significantly improve vitamin intake, with an average 23% reduction in vitamin and dietary fiber deficiency. Zespri aims to raise awareness and differentiate its kiwi products in the Korean market, advocating healthier eating habits and aiming for a 10% sales increase from last year.
