The Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity, now in its 20th year, has commenced and will run for three days. The forum hosts sessions focusing on competitive cooperation among South Korea, China, and Japan, as well as youth and university student sessions. The theme is 'Harnessing Innovation for Peace and Shared Prosperity'. Participants include former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and UN officials, and a message from Seungkwan of K-pop group Seventeen. Over 4,000 people from 30 countries are expected to attend, with 53 sessions planned, including cultural experiences around Jeju Island. The forum aims to connect global intellectual discussions with the natural beauty and cultural history of Jeju.
