Electric Vehicle Fire Prevention Free Inspection by 14 Manufacturers

In response to last year's electric vehicle fire accidents, the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced a joint safety management plan urging 14 major EV manufacturers, including Hyundai, Kia, and Tesla, to conduct free safety inspections. These inspections focus on checking the condition of high-voltage batteries and cooling systems, offering software updates for older models to enhance battery monitoring, and verifying recall compliance. Certain manufacturers, like Hyundai and Kia, will provide ongoing inspections throughout the year. The initiative aims to alleviate public concerns and ensure driving safety.
