A delegation of former U.S. Congressmembers visited South Korea and experienced traditional Korean food culture at 'Passion Gukbap', a Korean food franchise. The trip was organized by the Kim Chang-joon Korean American Research Institute, a non-profit founded by the first Korean-American federal representative, aiming to foster U.S.-Korea exchanges. The attendees included notable figures from both the Republican and Democratic parties. During their visit, they enjoyed 'gukbap', a traditional Korean dish that combines rice with beef broth, introduced by Jeon Kyung-hoon, the CEO of Passion Korea. The franchise is renowned for maintaining the rich flavors of traditional gukbap while modernizing its menu, becoming the top-selling gukbap franchise in Korea. Passion Korea aspires to globalize gukbap, akin to the popularity of McDonald's, by infusing passion into each dish.
