A special exhibition of Marc Chagall's works entitled 'Beyond Time' is being held at the Hangaram Art Museum in Seoul's Arts Center. The exhibition, running from May 23 to September 21, features 170 pieces including paintings, drawings, and stained glass artworks. Notably, seven previously unrevealed original paintings are exhibited for the first time ever. The exhibition offers an immersive media art experience, including reproductions of Chagall’s famous works like the ceiling of the Paris Opera House and the stained glass of Hadassah Medical Center in Israel. With contributions from Korean curator Jang Yoon-jin, the exhibition aims to convey Chagall's distinctive concept of time and emotional flow through art. The exhibition is designed to engage viewers in feeling the combination of past, present, and future symbolized in Chagall's artworks. Featuring an audio guide by actor Park Bo-gum, the exhibition also highlights the significance of establishing one's artistic identity amidst changing times, reflecting Chagall's steadfast pursuit of his unique style despite challenges like war and exile.
