The petroglyphs at the Bangucheon Stream in Ulsan, South Korea, are expected to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site consists of remarkable prehistoric rock carvings depicting whales and various animals, showcasing the artistic creativity of ancient inhabitants on the Korean Peninsula. The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) has recommended the inscription, and the final decision will be made in July during the World Heritage Committee meeting in Paris. If confirmed, it will be Korea's 17th UNESCO World Heritage Site.
